FLSA Status:  Exempt, Full-time (Estimated 36-40 Hours per week)

Salary Range:  $60K-$65K plus benefits

Position Summary

The Marketing and Annual Giving Manager is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and growing connections between Homes of Hope and its community across South Carolina, producing increased recognition, credibility, funding, and impact. This position develops and implements strategies to increase public awareness and annual giving revenue through a multi-channel marketing approach, including digital and print platforms.

Working closely with the Resource Development team and under the supervision of the Grants and Communications Manager, this position executes annual giving campaigns, oversees branding and creative direction, and manages the organization’s marketing initiatives. The Marketing and Annual Giving Manager ensures consistency of message and brand while helping to steward and engage donors at all levels. This role supports departmental strategy and contributes input on workflows, campaign planning, and content alignment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Annual Giving

  • Develop and implement annual giving strategies to acquire, retain, and engage donors through direct mail, digital campaigns, email, and social media.
  • Manage a detailed schedule of direct marketing activities, ensuring timely copy development, design, list segmentation, and review by the Grants and Communications Manager.
  • Partner with the Grants and Communications Manager and Donor Relations Manager to develop segmented messaging for donor stewardship and upgrades.
  • Lead the execution of the End-of-Year (EOY) campaign, including creative development, communications, and reporting.
  • Track and report on annual giving metrics, donor acquisition, and campaign performance across digital and print platforms.
  • Utilize Raiser’s Edge for moves management entries related to annual giving.

Marketing & Communications

  • Oversee corporate branding and identity across digital, print, and events to ensure a consistent and professional image.
  • Develop and execute communications on Homes of Hope’s website and social media platforms, expanding reach and engagement.
  • Manage website structure and content updates, working closely with external web design partners as needed.
  • Produce materials for internal and external publication, such as brochures, impact cards, thank-you cards, partnership packets, and event collateral.
  • Provide creative direction for the annual Impact Report, in collaboration with the Grants and Communications Manager and external graphics designer.
  • Support fundraising events (large and small) through design and communications support.
  • Oversee creative workload for external contractors/vendors (graphic designers, printers, web teams, photographers, videographers).
  • Capture and curate client success stories, photography, and video for donor communications.
  • Manage ad buys with local media outlets.

Donor Stewardship & Engagement

  • Collaborate with the Grants and Communications Manager to design and implement stewardship plans for new donors, Solid Rock Club members, and other donor groups.
  • Contribute to strategic storytelling that connects donor impact with client outcomes.

Organizational Support

  • Attend and actively participate in fundraising events, speaking engagements, tours, and community events as needed.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and staff development to grow knowledge and proficiency.
  • Maintain awareness of housing development, construction progress, and client impact stories.
  • Provide input on departmental strategy, campaign planning, and workflow improvements under supervision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field
  • 3+ years experience of digital marketing and/or annual giving experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office tools (MS Excel, MS Word & PowerPoint), Social Media tools, and a solid understanding of webpage functionality
  • Proficiency with Canva, or similar program, for design of graphics for social media and web
  • Must possess strong organizational, critical thinking and analytical skills, as well as attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, think proactively and creatively, while consistently meeting deadlines is required
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills along with a positive, solution minded attitude is required
  • Occasional evening/weekend availability required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Photography and video experience
  • Experience with nonprofit operations
  • Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge experience

Working Conditions

Estimated 36–40 hours per week; approx. 80% office environment and 30% offsite for work related appointments. Primarily office based, allowing for limited remote work as duties permit. Remote work requires supervisor approval and a measurable work product.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. Ability to travel to work related appointments is required and a valid driver’s license and  reliable transportation is needed.
