Reports to:  Director of Real Estate Development

FLSA Status:  Part-time/Non-Exempt/ Temporary

Salary Range:  $20-$25 per hour; 15-20 hours per week; 3-6 months plus

Position Summary: Homes of Hope, a not-for-profit organization with a focus on affordable real estate development throughout South Carolina, is seeking a temporary employee to support our Real Estate Development team through assistance with data management, software implementation, and other administrative functions.  The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized, and excels in both independent and team-based work environments.  

Specific duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Organization, management, and entry of data associated with implementation of a real estate development software system.
  • Compilation and organization of historical rental and loan portfolio data into structured formats. (This task will require the ability to effectively research historical loan, mortgage and other real estate documents and identify key details to ensure accuracy of data compiled.)
  • Assistance with compilation of documentation for real estate funding applications to be submitted to public and/or private lender institutions.
  • Assistance in organizing property tax records and bills for a rental portfolio consisting of 400+ properties.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional project management and organizational abilities, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior experience in real estate related field.
  • Prior experience working with SC Housing.

Working Conditions:

100% In Office and remote work only available in accordance to wellness policy.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • The job operates in a professional office environment.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee may occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
