Annual Giving Manager

Department: Resource Development Department
Reports to:  Director of Resource Development
FLSA Status:  Exempt, Full-time
Salary Range:  $60K-$65K

Position Summary: The Annual Giving Manager establishes, maintains, and grows connections between Homes of Hope and its local and state-wide community, while producing increased recognition, credibility, funding, and impact. The Annual Giving Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase public awareness and annual giving revenue through a multi-channel marketing approach (leveraging digital and print). The Annual Giving Manager will work closely with the Resource Development Team to create and execute annual giving campaigns that engage donors and prospects. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
In coordination with appropriate Development Resource Team members…

  • Create and implement annual giving strategies that work to acquire, retain, and engage donors through direct mail, digital (website and social media), and email communications
  • Oversee the development, design, and implementation of all direct mail, email and social media campaigns to increase the number of donors and financial support
  • In coordination with the Director of Resource Development and Donor Relations Manager, develop segmented and targeted messaging for purposes of stewarding and upgrading donors
  • Manage a detailed schedule of direct marketing activities and ensure the appropriate review of copy and mailing list selection
  • Oversees corporate branding and identity through digital media and print
  • Produces material for internal and external publication including success stories of HOH clients (For example-Brochures, Impact Cards, Thank You Cards, Partnership Packet, and Gala and Golf Classic materials)
  • Oversees creation of the annual Impact Report
  • Responsible for supporting all large and small events through print and digital efforts
  • Leads organization’s visual and aesthetic impact through use of photography and videography
  • Connects with Homes of Hope clients and gathers stories to share with supporters
  • Develop and execute all communications on Homes of Hope’s website and social media outlets. Expand Homes of Hope’s social media presence through existing and new social media outlets
  • Analyze data pertaining to website, social media use and other marketing efforts to track effectiveness
  • Manage the structure and content of Homes of Hope’s website; works closely with website design team
  • In coordination with the Director of Resource Development create and implement a stewardship plan for donors (new donors, Solid Rock Club donors, etc.)
  • Track and report on annual giving related metrics
  • Utilize Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge as appropriate for annual giving moves management entries

Other duties:

  • Work with graphic design, web and video vendors as needed
  • Attend and participate in all fundraising events
  • Occasionally represents organization at speaking engagements, community events, and tours
  • Attends workshops and participates in webinars to increase knowledge and proficiency
  • Maintains weekly awareness of housing development, construction and client impact
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field
  • 3 to 5 years experience of digital marketing and/or annual giving experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office tools (MS Excel, MS Word & PowerPoint), Social Media tools, and a solid understanding of webpage functionality
  • Proficiency with Canva, or similar program, for design of graphics for social media and web
  • Must possess strong organizational, critical thinking and analytical skills, as well as an attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, think proactively and creatively, while consistently meeting deadlines is required
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Occasional evening/weekend availability required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Photography and video experience
  • Experience with nonprofit operations
  • Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge experience

Working Conditions:

60% in office; 30% outside appointments; 10% ability to work remote
