Hope House Dinner & HOG Day... after this weekend we will need a long nap!
This upcoming weekend is quite possibly one of the busiest weekends of the year for Homes of Hope. We have two important events happening Friday evening and Saturday morning: The Hope House Dinner & Auction, and Hands on Greenville Day! At the first we get to dress up, eat well, & introduce hundreds of people to our ministry at our yearly fundraising dinner. At the second, we get to partner with dozens of volunteers to get dirty, work hard, & complete landscaping projects at our affordable housing developments. As Friday night ends we will lay aside the dresses & suits, sleep quickly, and be ready bright and early Saturday morning in sneakers with mulch forks in hand. It’s the beauty of the season!
The Hope House Dinner & Auction is looking to be our best banquet yet! Our planning has been extensive, the artistry on our Hope Houses has been fantastic, & we anticipate our biggest attendance to record. Our Director of Events, Tonya, has not left one detail out of this fantastic night. We cannot wait!
Tonya's office is bursting with Hope Houses, Dinner & Auction programs, & event signage!
On Saturday over 125 volunteers from Greenville’s United Parcel Service (UPS) will join Homes of Hope staff, tenants, and interns for a community wide landscaping day at Homes of Hope’s affordable housing developments in West Greenville. The partnership is organized by Hands on Greenville of the United Way of Greenville County. Volunteers will be performing landscaping projects and beautifying properties with mulch, flowers, and shrubbery. This community service collaboration will benefit over 45 families who reside in Homes of Hope housing in the West Greenville community. A local nursery has donated beautiful shrubs & trees for us!
All of these will be newly planted at our West Greenville developments!
This upcoming weekend is so full of excitement for us! Now in our 13th year, we continue to see God pour out his providence as community members partner in our work & grow in excitement for our ministry. We are so thankful to all of our supporters, volunteers, sponsors, artists, & friends who are helping us to make the Hope House Dinner & Auction and HOG Day a reality!
