Homes of Hope Announces: Satellite Office in Anderson and Personnel Promotions in Greenville
As the critical need for affordable housing becomes more and more apparent throughout our region and state, Homes of Hope has become uniquely positioned to meet this challenge. Beginning with our development expansion into Anderson, SC in 2011, and followed by new projects in Spartanburg, Clinton, and Laurens, aquired property in Rock Hill, and future projects in Georgetown and beyond- we are on the move!
As with all big changes throughout our 15 year history, we plan to meet this growth spurt with creativity and excellence. As a first step we are adding new office space to the Greenville corporate offices, in preparation for coming new staff and larger capacity requirements required by this recent growth in statewide expansion of housing development. We're also opening our first satellite office in Anderson, SC to be able to meet the needs of our growing housing client population in that community.
Dawn Dowden, who has been with Homes of Hope since 2008, has recently been promoted to Vice President of Operations. Dowden will oversee all organizational operations including a staff of 14, as well as assist our President/CEO in all housing development activities, and organizational growth strategies.
We've also promoted Denice Harris, formerly Asset Development Manager, to her new role as Director of Client Development. Harris has also been a part of the Homes of Hope family since 2008.
Now serving the needs of 464 households throughout Greenville, Mauldin, Anderson, Spartanburg, Clinton, Laurens, and Rock Hill, Homes of Hope’s Client Development Department offers both property and case management including financial wellness training to each of our housing clients. Harris’ title change reflects her growing responsibility as we prepare to serve over 700 affordable housing clients state-wide, most of them through single family housing, by 2018.
From the renovation of our very first mobile home in 1998 to the new home construction that is taking place today all over the state, we remain focused on serving families in need- and serving them better! We know that a safe, quality-constructed, and energy efficient affordable home is an important first ingredient for continued success in all areas of life. Lives change through the hope of a home one can be proud of!
